This Training of Trainers (ToT) module is part of the ongoing ‘Gender and Disaster’ training programs, which have been organised by India's National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) since 2007. The ToT module can be used by gender trainers as well as trainers in the area of disaster management and development, practitioners, academia and other relevant stakeholders in implementing gender-sensitive interventions in pre as well as post-disaster scenario.
The module includes these sub-modules:
- gender-concepts and overview;
- differential impact of disasters;
- engendering disaster management;
- empowerment of women through disaster risk management.
