WRD Toolbox

The WRD toolbox provides a wide range of tools for fostering gender-responsive practice for the three WRD Pillars for building women's resilience to disasters (Risk, Systems, Action), the five topics for each pillar, and the three cross-cutting issues (global frameworks, women's leadership, capabilities).  See the full Women’s Resilience to Disasters Framework

The purpose of the WRD toolbox is to centralise all key tools for building women’s resilience. Too often, practitioners are reinventing the wheel rather than building on the good practices, experiences, and learning from other regions. This toolbox is “live” and will regularly be updated as new tools are developed and shared.

Case Studies

The WRD Knowledge Hub serves as a platform to foster south-south knowledge exchange on gender-responsive resilience building and facilitate the sharing of good practices and lessons.

The case studies highlight how stakeholders are working together to understand the gender dimensions of risk, enable gender-responsive systems, and realise women's resilience.
