An overview of progress in the Pacific region with evidence from the Republic of Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, and Samoa
The purpose of this study is to provide evidence-based information on the gender impacts of climate change and disasters in the Pacific, and to identify how gender equality and women’s empowerment can be strengthened across climate change and DRR policies, institutions and projects. The report presents an analytical framework to explore and interpret evidence on the status of policy; institutional arrangements; implementation and practice; advocacy, knowledge generation; women’s participation in efforts to incorporate gender equality into climate change action and DRR.
