This paper defines a selection of 33 gender-related terms and concepts used in the context of disaster risk reduction. It has been compiled in support of the Gender Note series, online publications of the Gender and Disaster Network authored by leading scholars and practitioners, and aiming to raise awareness of, and provide tools for, gendering disaster risk reduction.
