IDS bulletin:

This bulletin explores adaptation using different insights and approaches – exploring linkages from chronic poverty, gender, social exclusion, livelihoods, economics, and asset-based approaches. It highlights the pressing need to advance pro-poor adaptation thinking, policy and practice, asserting that adaptation will be ineffective and inequitable if it fails to learn from and build upon an understanding of the multi-dimensional and differentiated nature of poverty and vulnerability.

The various articles also stress that recognising the voices of different interests and people will be central to the realisation of climate justice and rights to adaptation: voices that may be silenced or hidden when represented under single labels.
