Tackling the Triple Planetary Crisis by Promoting a Gender-Transformative Just Transition
This UN Women side event at the COP27 will be held on 16 November 2022, at 16:45-18:15 Cairo time (UTC+2).
This high-level event will showcase how gender equality is an integral part of ensuring a just transition toward sustainable economies and societies for all, and how women are already accelerating Just Transitions in their countries.
The session will explore the roles of governments, social partners, women, youth, and civil society to ensure that women and people facing multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination have equal opportunities in finding full and productive employment in a sustainable economy.
UN Women Regional Director for the Arab States Susanne Mikhail will be speaking at this event.
