A tornado is a rotating column of air, extending from the base of a cumuliform cloud, and often visible as a condensation funnel in contact with the ground, and/or attendant circulating dust or debris cloud at the ground.
Research shows that during recovery periods after tornadoes, women are often charged with “private sphere” tasks such as reconstituting the household and childcare responsibilities during school closures, but are often excluded from taking on leadership roles in community recovery projects.
