The CSW66 side event amplifies the important role of Pacific and Caribbean women leaders in championing the role of ocean in the fight against climate change
The Pacific Islands Forum and the Caribbean Community are organising a CSW66 side-event on 24 March, 5 pm - 7 pm (NY/BRDO) | 25 March, 9 am - 11 am (FIJI).
The side event will highlight the important role of Pacific and Caribbean women leaders in championing the role of the ocean in the fight against climate change in Small Islands Developing States (SIDS), and their contribution in addressing climate resilience.
Objectives of the event:
1. Share women leadership experience especially in championing ocean and climate change;
2. Motivate and generate discussion on how women can network and collaborate to
address climate change and resilience;
3. Encourage women to explore how the ocean can be a solution to climate change.
