This event will showcase how UN joint action and gender-transformative approaches help address the climate crisis.
The UNSDG Network for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment will be hosting the virtual workshop event: How does gender-transformative approaches help us address the climate crisis and achieve the SDGs? The workshop will discuss gender-transformative approaches in on the following sub-themes:
- Gender-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction & Management;
- Livelihoods and Economic Resilience of Women and Girls;
- Women and Girls' Health and Well-Being; and
- Joint Programming (Inter-agency cooperation and joint situational analysis and measurement).
The event will be held virtually on 31 May 2022, from 8 AM to 10 AM EST.
