Women and young persons with disabilities have a right to health, to an adequate standard of living, and to be free from violence, even during times of crisis. COVID-19 pandemic has also exposed the stark digital divide and disproportionate impact of technology on women and young persons with disabilities on the ground in several countries. The UNFPA has worked to innovate, advocate and ensure persons with disabilities everywhere are free from violence and discrimination, and able to exercise their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). This event will explore how innovation and technology can be used to promote equal rights for women and young persons with disabilities particularly to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights.
