This document presents institutional and legal framework for disaster management in Mexico, and discusses disaster risks and natural hazards, such as cyclone, flood, earthquake and others. It provides analysis of the functioning of the national civil protection system related to disaster prevention, public awareness and participation, education, information management, capacity development and disaster preparedness.
