China is a key player in the global efforts to mitigate climate change. Meanwhile, China is vulnerable to the adverse impacts of climate change in various ways, including through disasters such as floods, droughts, and typhoons. The research investigates gender gaps in China’s policy framework, attitudes, and gender composition of government institutions; non-governmental organisational roles; as well men and women’s differential vulnerabilities to the adverse impacts of climate change.
